Nato in risposta alle sollecitazioni contenute nel documento MIUR <em style="box-sizing: border-box;">Orientamenti per l’apprendimento della Filosofia nella società della conoscenza,</em> è rivolto agli studenti – e ai lettori interessati – ed è articolato in quattro fasi che mettono al centro la parola del linguaggio ordinario: semplice nella sua articolazione, esso è svincolato da una tecnologia specifica e, attraverso la filosofia, rafforza il pensiero critico e contrasta l’impoverimento linguistico. In questo contesto PATHS – <em style="box-sizing: border-box;">Per Parole</em> contribuisce ad ampliare il vocabolario e a sviluppare la capacità di comprendere nonché quella di esprimersi in modo chiaro. Tali abilità permettono agli studenti di non cadere in trappole logiche o essere ingannati da discorsi manipolativi. Nel volume il lettore troverà la descrizione del modello accompagnata da quei rimandi teorici che hanno contribuito a realizzarlo.
