Rare first edition of this English language grammar written for an Armenian-speaking audience and printed at the S. Lazarus Armenian College in Venice by the printing press of the Mekhitarist Order. The press had already published an English-Armenian grammar in 1817 with the assistance of Lord Byron who had visited the Armenian convent on the island St. Lazzaro in 1816 to study the Armenian language.
